The manufacturers of Wheat Glucose Syrups and Corn Steep Liquor joined efforts for their REACH compliance activities and have officially launched the WGS&CSL REACH consortium on July 2010.

Consortium description
Through the WGS&CSL consortium, the manufacturers have decided to join efforts to prepare a consistent registration dossier building on the experience gained during the AaF activities. The project management and secretariat of the consortium lays in the responsibility of ReachCentrum. The technical content preparation of the registration dossier will be managed by the Lead Registrants with Intertek expertise.

The following substances are covered by the WGS & CSL Consortium:

Membership
Manufacturers/importers/only representatives as defined in the REACH Regulation of the substance on its own, in preparations or in articles and who are subject to the registration requirements pursuant to the REACH Regulation, or Affiliates thereof and who participate in the consortium.

Membership is open to any applicant fulfilling the membership criteria. The WGS & CSL consortium, therefore is open to any European company manufacturing WGS and/or CSL as well as importers of the substances and only representatives. Downstream users and other data holders are also invited to play an active role in the work of the Consortium.
