Our Consortium Formation Service is aimed at preparing groups of companies in the formation of a REACH consortium for a substance or group of substances. Being offered under a Pre-Consortium Management Service Agreement with ReachCentrum, the objective of this service is to support companies in a phased approach to prepare and form the consortium and meet the REACH regulation requirements in time.

On request, the Consortium Formation Service can be followed by a Consortium Support Service to manage a REACH consortium for one or more specific substances. Both services can be integrated in one full Support Project.

Our approach

The Consortium Formation Service will cover all preparatory activities to be discussed and agreed upon by the participants of the project necessary to form a REACH consortium. This entails agreeing on a substance identification profile to ensure that the companies are discussing the same substance, the operating structure of the consortium and all operating rules (e.g. fair data- and cost sharing mechanism; clear communication and decision making processes; dealing with other stakeholders, etc).

At the end of the project all necessary issues are incorporated in a dedicated Consortium Agreement, the participants are ready to actually form the REACH consortium and the REACH consortium is ready to become operational.

A clear ‘road map’ and other support tools developed by ReachCentrum, sound project management, a clear communication and decision making process and last but not least true commitments by all participants will form the corner stones for the formation of a successful consortium to be prepared to work on an efficient registration of the covered substances under REACH.
