Consortium Formation Service
Our Consortium Formation Service is aimed at preparing groups of companies in the formation of a REACH consortium for a substance or group of substances. The objective of this service is to support companies to prepare and form the consortium.
On request, the Consortium Formation Service can be followed by a Consortium Management Service to manage a REACH consortium for one or more specific substances.
Our approach
The Consortium Formation Service will cover all preparatory activities necessary to form a REACH consortium. This entails agreeing on a substance identification, the operating structure of the consortium and all operating rules as fair data- and cost sharing mechanism; clear communication and decision making processes; dealing with other stakeholders, etc.
At the end of the project all necessary subjects are incorporated in a dedicated Consortium Agreement. The consortium becomes operational when the agreement has been signed by all participants. This is publicly announced on our website, in list of REACH consortia.
Our tools
A clear ‘road map’ describing the milestones and planning to set up a consortium, and other support tools developed by ReachCentrum, sound project management, a clear communication and decision making process enhance the formation of a successful consortium.
Our experience
Our management expertise has proven to be a successful contribution to an important number of REACH consortia. The main focus of our Consortium Managers is to help companies meet the different REACH registration deadlines. We currently ensure that the highest priority of most registrants under REACH is given to the registration of phase-in substances with volumes of over 1000 tonnes per year to meet the 2010 deadline. ReachCentrum is also already supporting some manufacturers and importers of smaller volumes, anticipating the 2013 deadline.
