The Methyl IsoButyl Ketone (MIBK) consortium has been created to help its members prepare for REACH.

Consortium description & substances covered
The consortium was created by members of the Oxygenated Solvents Producers Association (OSPA), a sector group of Cefic, to undertake the collective activities related to the registration of the following substances for solvents uses under REACH:

Membership
The members of the Methyl IsoButyl Ketone consortium have substantial experience in the manufacturing or importation of these substances and have significant experience in implementing product regulatory initiatives such as the OECD/ HPV program. The consortium has already started work to produce REACH registration dossiers. Upon completion, letters of access to the REACH Registration dossier will be made available to non-consortium members. ReachCentrum has been chosen to manage the secretariat of the consortium. The Methyl IsoButyl Ketone REACH consortium is open to any applicants fulfilling the current membership or associated membership criteria of the consortia.
