The manufacturers of Metal Carboxylates have joined efforts for their REACH compliance activities and have launched the MC REACH consortium (MCRC) in May 2009.

Consortium activities
The consortium members agreed to cooperate in the preparation of a REACH registration dossier for Metal Carboxylates with the aim to cover also the uses of the substance as listed in Annex 2 of the regulation. The dossier will include information for harmonised classification and labelling and the consortium will be managed by ReachCentrum.

The substances covered by the Metal Carboxylates consortium can be found in the MCRC substances lists.

Membership
The Metal Carboxylates REACH consortium structure includes a Steering Committee and a Technical Committee. The consortium is open to manufacturers, importers and only representatives as defined in the REACH regulation and includes their Affiliates.
